Sunny For A Change
After sleeping for pretty much two days straight I finally feel like myself again. Yes, that is how badly I needed this holiday. I guess it is not a typical holiday for most people, but for me the ability to just stay home, sleep in my bed, and not have to go anywhere is a holiday. I counted that in last month alone I had 10 train trips, 8 flights, stayed in 8 different hotels, and spent two nights crashing at one or other friend's home. So, I think the need to just be, and not have to wake up anywhere between 4-6am - is understandable. But yes, finally I am rested so it was time to really go outside, see friends, enjoy the sun that has been treating London for past few weeks (mind that most of those weeks I spent outside London, in colder places so I am only saying this because that's what I was told).
I think it is only fair that once it's sunny you automatically want to spring in the spring wardrobe (pun intended). So, mules that I got from TopShop last season and haven't been able to wear over the winter was a must, as well as this beautiful vintage shirt, and of course - pastel mani! The shirt being vintage, you obviously cannot find the same but there are so many similar ones out there, that have same feel, similar prints. The trick is to look in menswear section, Yes, it is a men's shirt. Also, don't overlook the inside tag, look for a shirt made out of rayon, a fabric that I feel I have't seen a lot of these days, but is super soft to the touch, and feels wonderful wearing.
If you don't feel like roaming vintage shops because either you are too lazy, or don't appreciate the unavoidable smell, keep checking my blog as I will soon post my favorite online vintage shops.
