Monday Style Icon - Camille Charriere
Camille Charrière is a familiar name, isn’t it? If not, I shall introduce her!
Camille grew up in Paris but in her early twenties moved to London to pursue a career in law and finance. Even so, her passion for fashion was much stronger. In 2010, the challenges of a city life and the craving for a creative outlet led to the launch of her blog called Camille Over The Rainbow. Before going freelance, she worked with both Net-a-Porter and Matchesfashion.com. Today Camille works as a fashion journalist and a creative consultant in her new hometown of London.
According to Vogue, Charrière is one of the influx of hip, well-dressed French girls we must to put up with seeing around West London these days. Her fashion icons include Jane Birkin, Sarah Harris, and Kate Moss. In an essay for Styleby.nu, Camille wrote that the nice thing about London is that people are less judgmental than elsewhere.
For an interview with the Back of House, Camille named her top three travel essentials: ‘My iPod (I can’t go anywhere without my music); my phone charger (I’m dangerously addicted to my 3G tactile device), and baggy denim (nothing comfier to travel and, and looks great in a travel pic)’.
