Fall 2016 Trends - Pyjamas to Go?

Fall 2016 Trends - Pyjamas to Go?

Pyjamas have taken the fashion world by a storm. It started a few seasons ago and little by little it trickled down from high-end brands to high-street and is penetrating into more and more warebrobes. At first, it was a few trend setters wearing actual pyjama shirts from Rag&Bone white with navy blue piping pajama sets, out during the day, then  Louis Vuitton went pyjama heavy in the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, sending models down the runway dressed in nightwear inspired pieces, from full pyjama sets to silky slip dresses. The fashion world went nightwear crazy! We seemed to have accepted slip dresses fairly quickly and they have become a very important piece of so many wardrobes (mine included). It might be the ease of accessorizing it, its capacity to transform from casual to evening, or its ability to makes us look a bit  je nai se quoi that made a slip dress such a hit. One way or another, we have accepted it. However, pyjama shirts to full pyjama sets seems to be taking its time. It could be that we don't want to look like we just rolled out of bed and couldn't be bothered to put some clothes on. But then, isn't the whole point of it to make it look like it took us no effort to get ready? Like we just rolled out of bed looking this chíc? Anyway, if you haven't tried it out yet, there is no time like the present. Because while it hit the high street brands and streets it is also still going strong on the runways which means it's a trend that is going to stick around awhile. So hit that snooze button one more time and enjoy!
