I always felt like December is a month of glitter. As a rule, for the other eleven months I tend to stay away from anything that is too glittery, but as soon as December hits - it's a fair game. I feel, it just wouldn't be Christmas without a little bit of extra glitter! This year I decided to try it on my lids. I got inspired by a photo I stumbled upon from Chanel's Fall 2013 runway show about a month ago, and couldn't wait to try it ever since. I love the look so much, I will probably be rocking it for this coming New Year's Eve. After all, its only fitting for the most sparkly night of the year, right?
The look is really easy to achieve. I used strip eyelash glue as an adhesive for the glitter (make sure NOT to use individual lash glue as it will make it nearly impossible to remove the glitter). For more interesting look, instead of plain glitter I used silver glitter flakes, as they differ in shapes and sizes. You can find it at any craft store. Draw a thick winged line with the glue on your eyelid. Use damp cotton swab or your finger to pick up the glitter pieces and just press them where you placed the glue. To finish off the look, curl your eyelashes and add loads of black mascara. If you feel you need a little extra definition, you can underline your lower lash line with a black or grey eyeliner.
